The Ultimate SOS Lipbalms

My lips have been so so dry recently and none of my regular favourite lip balms were really cutting it. Now though I’ve managed to narrow it down to a few lip balms that really do work, no matter how dry and chapped my lips are.

I have a couple more expensive options, a mid priced one and then a classic, budget friendly one.

The Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream isn’t technically a lip balm but that’s what I mainly use it for.Two off my friends recommended it to me, so thank you Cat and Cara! It really has saved the day for me. It comes in a scented and non-scented formula. I opted for the non-scented one because I was a bit concerned the medicated scent might hurt my lips when they were at their worst. I don’t find it too sticky and my hair doesn’t really get stuck in it when I’m out and it’s windy (which it always is in Leeds). Even though it is quite pricey, I think you get a lot of product for your money and one tube really will last you a long time!

The Lanolips 101 Ointment it a cult classic for a lot of people. I think since buying my tube they’ve changed their packaging but I’m not 100% sure about that. This is very very similar to the 8 Hour Cream once it’s on your lips and it is incredibly moisturising. I’ve also used this on my cuticles if I accidentally get too much out of the tube. I have the original but they do also do different scented ones and tinted ones as well I think.

The Nuxe Reve De Miel Ultra Nourishing Lip Balm has been a favourite of mine for a long time, and I think I may have mentioned it on here in the past. It’s a thick creamy lip balm that I usually use at night and works miracles! The only downside is that it is so thick I’d probably look a bit strange if I loaded it onto my lips then actually went out in public. It’s one of the lip balms where if you apply it before you go to be you can still feel it on your lips in the morning. They also do a twist up stick version which I might need to pick up at some point.

The Burt’s Bees Beeswax Lip Balm is a classic and something I’ve used since I was in school and doing GCSEs and A Levels. It’s one of the lip balms I’ll always come back round to. I always have one in my bag, it’s easy to wear under lipsticks. It’s just one of the best lip balms out there in my opinion. The tinted ones are also really really good too.

What lip balm do you swear by?
