Christmas Nail Polish Picks

Christmas is the time of year I think it’s perfectly acceptable to wear as much glitter as you like, that means on your eyes, on your nails and on your clothes. OPI and Essie both do some incredible glitters here are my top five picks for this year, including a couple of non-glitters.

OPI My Favourite Ornament this one is definitely one of my all time favourite nail polishes, it came out in the Mariah Carey Christmas collection back in 2013 and I have worn it so much! It’s the perfect fine cut champagne gold glitter. And it’s surprisingly easy to remove for a glitter!

Summit of Style by Essie is one of my favourite glitter top coats, it looks great on top of pretty much any colour, I love using it as a statement nail over Essie Bahama Mama or OPI Christmas Gone Plaid. Or just any nail polish in general.

Nails inc Gold Goddess is a nail polish from the Alice and Olivia Collection (you can see my post on that here) that I was in love with! It’s a stunning antiqued gold glitter, and it’s just a really beautiful, unique nail polish. This might end up being my New Years nail polish.

OPI Underneath The Mistletoe is also from the 2013 Mariah Carey Christmas Collection and is a dark red gelly glitter. It kind of reminds me of raspberry jam which is probably a strange way to describe nail polish but that’s what it reminds me of. It’s more of a subtle glitter and I always get loads of compliments on it whenever I wear it.

My two non-glittery picks are Christmas Gone Plaid from the OPI Gwen Stefani Christmas Collection last year, and its a beautiful dark forest green. I don’t have anything like it but I’m obsessed. It’s not so dark it just looks like black nail polish, it actually comes off green. I think it might be what I use the next time I paint my nails. Make sure to follow me on Instagram so you don’t miss it if I do!

My final pick is an Essie classic. Fishnet Stockings is probably one of my favourite red nail polishes, and I think it might evem be the first Essie nail polish I ever bought.  Essie always hits it out of the park when it comes to reds and dark pinks, and this one is no exception. To me it’s just the perfect classic Christmas red.

I’m also loving this years OPI Christmas Collection but I’ve been good and haven’t bought any of them! Yet.
