Last weekend I was visiting my friend Catherine in Newcastle. She know’s I’m a cat lover and really wanted to go to one of the cat cafes in Newcastle, obviously I was up for it. The cafe we went to Catpawcino, on the Newcastle Quayside.
For a £5 entry fee, which goes towards vet fees, food and caring for the five resident cats, you get your first drink free and an hour and a half to spend with all of the lovely cats.
A percentage of the profits each month are donated to the Newcastle Dogs and Cats Home, and entry is free for children with autism. You can find out more on their website here.
They offer a selection of teas, coffees and soft drinks, as well as a range of sandwiches, cakes and afternoon tea. All of it was delicious and the cafe was well worth a visit. I can’t wait to go again the next time I’m in Newcastle! It definitely made me miss my cats at home though and I can’t wait to go home and snuggle with them over Christmas!
