The Autumn Nail Edit

DSC00601

You may be able to tell I’m obsessed with nail polish, here’s a selection of the ones I know I’m going to be getting a lot of use from.

Nails Inc Gold Goddess a beautiful antiqued gold glitter from the Alice and Olivia x Nails Inc collaboration that came out this year (see my post on the mini set here). I know I’m going to be getting a lot of use out of this all the way into the new year.

OPI It’s A Piazza Cake if probably to me the best nail polish OPI has ever come out with. That was a bold statement from me but I am seriously in love with this colour! It’s not like anything else I own or have really seen before. It’s definitely one to try if your an orange nail polish lover, and even if you aren’t I think you need it in your life! I wore it with Gold Goddess as a statement nail towards the end of September (you can see it on my instagram here) and it was literally autumn on my nails!

Essie Angora Cardi is a favourite of mine from last year, it’s a gorgeous rosy mauve shade, and was almost impossible to find last autumn, I think I picked up the very last one they had in the Boots in Leeds!

Essie Bahama Mama is an autumn classic and a lot of people’s favourite. To me you can’t have autumn without a lot of berry tones, be that nail polish, lipstick or clothing, it’s an essential. This was actually the first nail polish I used in 2015 with Essie Summit of Style on top (here). This polish is very similar to OPI In The Cable Car-Pool Lane (here) from the 2013 San Francisco Collection which I loved, but the formula of this is slightly better (I’m sorry OPI!) it has more of a creamy opaque finish than the OPI, but they’re both stunning colours! One of the shades from this years Autumn/Winter collections looks really similar as well so that’s another great alternative.

OPI St Mark’s The Spot as I think I said in my post about this polish (here) I was surprised by just how much I liked this and how flattering it was on the nails. I wasn’t expecting myself to like a shimmery royal blue quite as much as I do, and it makes a great alternative to the deep midnight blues that I usually associate with Autumn like Essie After Schoolboy Blazer or OPI Incognito in Sausalito which are also beautiful!

I realise that my edit of five nail polishes kind of ended up mentioning  nine polishes, but a girl needs options! What are you loving at the moment? I might have to check it out after my self imposed new nail polish ban is over after this month!
